What do you do for work?

I work at pharmaceuticals manufacturing site where I manage a team that operates a production line. Our team looks after day-to-day manufacture as well support with the planning and execution of strategic projects directed at facilitating continuous improvement, growth, and expansion to meet market demand.

What does an ideal day look like to you?

As much as I may complain about doing too much, I do love my days to be packed from start to finish. An early start with some form of exercise, followed by a trip to the beach, some ‘me’ time in the afternoon (for work, study, general life admin or, more likely, procrastination), and then spending time with mates in the evening, ideally over sport, live music, at the pub, or some combination of all three.

Do you have a favourite dinner dish?

I think I’d have to say buffalo chicken wings. I’m a man of simple pleasures.

A favourite restaurant/café?

I love my comfort foods and even just going off frequency of consumption, over the past couple of years Black Gold in Richmond has become one of my local favourites. Strolling down for one of their toasties on a Saturday or Sunday morning has become a weekend staple.

What’s your favourite album of all time?

I’m an avid listener of music and so it was always going to be a challenge to narrow it down to one. Frank Ocean, Arctic Monkeys and Foals all received strong consideration but if I had to pick one, I’d go with High Violet by the National.

How would you describe your personal style?

Varied but polished.

Who has been an influential person in your life and why?

At the risk of being cliched, my dad is someone who has played a significant role in shaping who I am today. I think this largely comes from the awe I have for all that he has achieved and, despite what I may have said during my adolescent years to the contrary, now trying to emulate the life he helped build, alongside my mum of course, for our family.

Favourite piece from collection 01?

I love the shirts that Ryan has designed and, in particular, I think the green number is going to fly off the shelves. The shorts are also exceptionally comfortable.

Ryan has done an amazing job pairing his unique design vision with a clear purpose for and focus on the sustainability of materials and their sourcing. It’s something that really appeals to me about his brand and a marriage I think will resonate strongly with many others.
